Throttle Cable/Linkage: Testing and Inspection
Accelerator Pedal And Throttle Cable

With throttle completely closed, check that cable has the correct amount of free play.
0.040" - 0.120" (1mm - 3mm)
If not, loosen locking nuts and adjust threaded sleeve (see illustration).

Check that throttle opens completely when accelerator pedal is depressed all the way to the stop. If not, or if throttle reaches wide open before
pedal reaches the stop, loosen lock nuts and adjust full throttle stop bolt (see illustration). Lock bolt in place when proper adjustment is obtained.
