Clutch Pedal Assembly: Adjustments

Measure distance from upper surface of pedal pad to carpet.

Height should be 7.20-7.60 inches.

If not, adjust clutch pedal height by loosening locknut and turning the clutch switch until specified height is obtained, Fig. 1.

Depress clutch pedal lightly by hand and measure clutch pedal freeplay. Freeplay should be .02-.12 inch.

5.

If not, adjust freeplay by loosening locknut and turning pushrod assembly until specified value is obtained.

After adjustment, tighten locknut.

7.

Ensure distance from carpet to center of upper surface of pedal pad is 2.13 inches.

8.

With pedal height and pedal freeplay adjusted correctly, ensure pedal assist spring is at correct length. Measure assist spring length. Length should
be 1.44-1.48 inch on turbo models or 1.52-1.56 inch on non turbo models. If not, turn assist spring locknut until correct length is obtained.
