Brake Pad: Service and Repair

BRAKE PADS - REAR
Removal and Installation
1. Remove the brake caliper guide bolts.
Caution: Do not allow the brake caliper to hang by the flexible brake hose.
Note: It is not necessary to remove the flexible brake hose.
2. Remove the brake caliper and support the caliper to the vehicle.
3. Remove the brake pads.
Note: If installing new brake pads, remove brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir using a suitable suction device until the reservoir is half
full.
4. If installing new brake pads, fully retract the brake caliper pistons.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Lubricate the brake caliper guide bolts with silicone grease.
