5. Install the lower steering column shroud.

1. Release the tilt column locking lever, if equipped.

NOTE:  The steering column must be in the raised position, with the tilt column lever released (if equipped), to install the lower steering
column shroud.

2. Position the lower steering column shroud to the steering column.
3. Install the three screws.

Vehicles with tilt column

6. Position the steering column completely downward.

All vehicles

7. Position the upper steering column shroud to the steering column and completely engage the retaining tabs.

1. Make sure the upper steering column shroud is aligned correctly and the retaining tabs are completely engaged.

NOTE:  Make sure to follow all steps and instructions in the installation of the steering wheel.

8. Install the steering wheel.

WARNING:  The restraint system diagnostic tool is for restraint system repair only. Remove from vehicle prior to road use. Failure to
remove could result in injury and possible violation of vehicle safety standards.

9. Depower the system. See SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING.
