Tribute 2WD L4-2.3L (2005)
2. Position hood latch assembly to the side.
1. Loosen hood latch nut.
2. Remove hood latch bolts.
3. Position aside hood latch.
3. Release the wiring harness pin-type retainers.
NOTE: Radiator and radiator top shield are removed for clarity.
WARNING: The tightening torque of the air bag front impact severity sensor retaining nuts is critical for correct system operation.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
NOTE: Make sure the radiator support and front impact severity sensor mating surfaces are clean and debris free.
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION: Make sure the hood latch is fully engaged.
5. Verify the hood latch striker is fully engaging the hood latch. See HOOD LATCH.
6. Repower the system. See SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING.
7. Align the locator tabs of the front impact severity sensor to the openings in the radiator, support bracket.
