Pinpoint Test 2
PINPOINT TEST 2: AN INDIVIDUAL TRAILER LAMP IS INOPERATIVE - TRAILER STOP/TURN LAMP
Normal Operation
The battery junction box (BJB) fuse 14 (15 A) supplies voltage to the LH and RH trailer tow stop/turn relays. The trailer tow stop/turn relay coils are
grounded through circuit (B/G).
The trailer tow LH stop/turn relay coil receives voltage from circuit (GY/BR) when the vehicle LH rear stoplamp is illuminated. When the trailer tow LH
stop/turn relay is energized, voltage is routed to the trailer tow connector through circuit (Y).
The trailer tow RH stop/turn relay coil receives voltage through circuit (V/O) when the vehicle RH rear stoplamp is illuminated. When the trailer tow RH
stop/turn relay is energized, voltage is routed to the trailer tow connector through circuit (G).
Possible Causes
-

Diagnostic Procedure
NOTE: The battery ground cable must be disconnected for accurate test results when checking ground circuits for continuity to ground.
