Oil Pressure Switch (For Fuel Pump): Service and Repair

ENGINE OIL PRESSURE (EOP) SWITCH - 3.0L (4V) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. 
2. Remove the pin-type retainer, 5 bolts and the RH lower splash shield.

To install, tighten to 9 N-m (0.9 kgf-m, 80 in-lbf).

3. Remove the engine oil filter.

To install, tighten to 5 N-m (0.5 kgf-m, 44 in-lbf) and then rotate an additional 180 degrees.

Note

Lubricate the engine oil filter gasket with clean engine oil prior to installing.

4. Disconnect the engine oil pressure (EOP) switch electrical connector.
5. Remove the EOP switch.

To install, tighten to 14 N-m (1.4 kgf-m, 10 ft-lbf).

6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
