Drive Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair

ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT TENSIONER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - HYBRID

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair/Lifting.

2. Remove the pin-type retainer, 5 bolts and the RH splash shield.

To install, tighten to 9 Nm {0.9 kgf-m, 80 in-lbf}

3. Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise and remove the accessory drive belt.

4. Remove the 3 bolts and the accessory drive belt tensioner.

To install, tighten to 25 Nm {2.5 kgf-m, 18 ft-lbf}.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
