Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe Removal/Installation

AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - HYBRID

CAUTION: Do not disconnect the air cleaner outlet pipe from the air cleaner. This is to protect the integrity of the hydrocarbon trap. 

1. Disconnect the crankcase vent tube from the air cleaner outlet pipe.

2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.

3. Release the 2 air cleaner cover clamps.

4. Loosen the air cleaner outlet pipe-to-throttle body clamp and remove the air cleaner outlet pipe and air cleaner cover assembly.

To install, tighten to 4 Nm {0.4 kgf-m, 35 in-lbf}.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: The air cleaner pipe should be securely sealed to prevent unmetered air from entering the engine.
