Seat Belt Height Adjuster: Procedures
SAFETY BELT SHOULDER HEIGHT ADJUSTER WITH STRIPPED WELD NUTS
1. Remove the B-pillar trim panel. See See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/B-Pillar Trim Panel
Removal/Installation.
2. Use the half-inch drill to drill out the damaged threads in the upper B-pillar structure.
3. Apply a suitable lubricant to the M14x1.5 tap and tap new threads.
NOTE: After each rotation, back tap off slightly to remove new cuttings and be sure to clean out any chips before proceeding.
