Refrigerant Control Solenoid Valve: Service and Repair
Battery Zone Valve Removal/Installation

BATTERY ZONE VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - HYBRID

NOTE:The battery zone valve is not interchangeable with the passenger zone valve. 

1. Remove the auxiliary climate control housing. See - See: Housing Assembly HVAC/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Auxiliary

Climate Control Housing Removal/Installation.

2. Remove the 2 battery zone valve screws.

-

To install, tighten to 2 Nm {0.2 kgf-m, 18 in-lbf}.

3. Loosen the nuts and disconnect the battery zone valve tube-O fittings.

Discard the O-ring seals.

-

To install, tighten to 17 Nm {1.7 kgf-m, 150 in-lbf}.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the battery zone valve.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

-

Install new O-ring seals.
