PINPOINT TEST 2: THE COURTESY LAMPS DO NOT TURN ON WITH THE LIFTGATE OR THE LIFTGATE GLASS OPEN

Normal Operation

The SJB sends a voltage reference signal to the liftgate ajar switch through circuit (GY/O). The voltage signal passes through the liftgate ajar switch to
the liftgate window ajar switch through circuit (YE/O). The signal is then routed to ground through circuit (B/GY).The liftgate and liftgate window ajar
switches are closed when the liftgate and liftgate window are closed. The liftgate/liftgate window ajar input is monitored from a single circuit by the SJB.
The liftgate and the liftgate window ajar switches are wired in series. When the liftgate or liftgate window is opened, the signal to ground is interrupted
indicating an open liftgate or liftgate window (the SJB cannot determine which is open).

Possible Causes

Wiring, terminals or connectors

Liftgate ajar switch (integrated into the liftgate latch)

Liftgate window ajar switch (integrated into the liftgate window latch)

Diagnostic Procedure

CAUTION:Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
NOTE:Make sure the interior lamp switches are in the DOOR position.
