Pinpoint Test 1: The Trailer Lamps Are Inoperative - All

PINPOINT TEST 1: THE TRAILER LAMPS ARE INOPERATIVE - ALL

Normal Operation

The trailer tow connector receives ground through circuit (W) for all of the trailer lamps

Possible Causes

Wiring, terminals or connectors

Diagnostic Procedure

NOTE:Failure to disconnect the battery when instructed will result in false resistance readings. See  See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and
Repair/Procedures/Battery Disconnect.

Pinpoint Test 2: An Individual Trailer Lamp Is Inoperative -Trailer Stop/Turn Lamp

PINPOINT TEST 2: AN INDIVIDUAL TRAILER LAMP IS INOPERATIVE - TRAILER STOP/TURN LAMP

Normal Operation

The battery junction box (BJB) fuse 14 (15A) supplies voltage to the LH and RH trailer tow stop/turn relays. The trailer tow stop/turn relay coils are
grounded through circuit (B/G).The trailer tow LH stop/turn relay coil receives voltage from circuit (GY/BR) when the vehicle LH rear stoplamp is
illuminated. When the trailer tow LH stop/turn relay is energized, voltage is routed to the trailer tow connector through circuit (Y).
The trailer tow RH stop/turn relay coil receives voltage through circuit (V/O) when the vehicle RH rear stoplamp is illuminated. When the trailer tow RH
stop/turn relay is energized, voltage is routed to the trailer tow connector through circuit (G).
