Since March 1984, a coolant reservoir with a Modified filler neck has been installed in production.. The overflow fitting now points in the driving
direction (arrow) and is made of brass (previously plastic).

The filler neck (1) is assembled to the reservoir by flaring its bottom (previously molded) and sealed with an O-ring (4) and washer (5). Refer to B,
Figure 2.
Replacement parts are only available in the modified version, with the part number remaining unchanged. Stock of the previous version may be used up.
