1.
Remove air cleaner assembly, then the cylinder head cover.
2.
Remove rocker arm bearing bracket, then drive valve lifter out of rocker arm, Fig. 9.
3.
Fill new valve lifter with clean engine oil. Work plunger up and down and refill.
4.
Install new lifter with original disc up to stop on circlip in rocker arm.
5.
Install rocker arm bearing bracket, ball socket, cylinder cover and air cleaner.
