SEALING THE TIMING COVER AT THE CYLINDER HEAD
Whenever the timing cover is removed from engine 102, it is possible to damage the cylinder head gasket.
A segment of the head gasket is available for such repair cases (Figure 1). The gap between the timing cover and the cylinder head can be sealed with
this segment, so replacement of the cylinder head gasket is no longer necessary.
The installation of the gasket segment described in this SI should be used together with the work instructions included in Service Microfiche, Engine
102, Mechanical 1, Group 01, Job 01-210.

Sealing the timing cover to the cylinder head (arrows) with the gasket segment (74a).

Additional procedures to be performed together with Job 01-210:
Locating pin (50)
Drive out.
Locating pin (50a)
Drill out with a 5 mm bit. Cut a M6 thread. Remove with a puller.
