The timing chain housing cover for the single roller timing chain is no longer supplied as a spare part. As replacement the cover for the double roller
timing chain must be used. In addition, the corresponding tensioning rail with a wider mounting hole (Fig. 1, L), as well as the wider slide rail must be
installed.
Note:
The timing chain running over the timing chain sprockets produces a whining noise which can be heard at an engine speed up to 1800 rpm. Replacing
the timing chain, tensioner or sprocket will not eliminate this noise.
