Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair
Removing

Drain air conditioning system (recycling).

Drain coolant and remove radiator.

In vehicles up to 8/84, remove clamp (arrow) from hose line (61).
Arrangement up to 8/84 Engine 102 and Delco R4 refrigerant compressors
Arrangement for all models (except 201.029 and 201.128) and with engine 102 as of 09/84

Unscrew hose lines (61 and 62) from condenser (63).

Remove both cable straps (arrows).

Lift off the two clamps (65) on radiator supporting frame and lift out condenser (63).
Installing

Insert condenser (63) into grommets on front cross member. The remaining installation procedure should be performed in the reverse sequence,
lightly coating the threads for the hose lines (61 and 62) with cold-flowing oil.

Evacuate air conditioning system and refill; check for leaks and check function See: Testing and Inspection
