MODIFIED OVERVOLTAGE PROTECTION RELAY MODEL 201 WITH ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS)

As of December 1984, a modified overvoltage protection relay for the electronic control unit was phased into production. This relay is now located next
to the control unit at the right side of the engine compartment. The modified overvoltage protection relay was provided with an additional pin 87 (relay
output) for the power supply of the control unit for the CIS-E injection system (Figure 2)..
When testing the modified overvoltage protection relay with the ABS test adapter, it is necessary to use an adapter plug, part no. 126 589 15 63 00.

IMPORTANT:

During testing, be sure to plug the same version overvoltage protection relay into the test adapter as the one that is being tested in the
vehicle. The previousversion relay, part no. 126 540 47 45, is no longer available as a replacement part and is substituted by the
modified relay, part no. 201 540 08 45.
