Ignition - Updated Heat Ranges for Spark Plugs

SUBJECT:

ADDITIONAL SPARK PLUG HEAT RANGES ENGINES 102.983, 103.983, 116/117 MODEL YEAR 1986

Additional spark plug heat ranges have been approved for the above-mentioned high compression engines.

The lower heat range (hotter burning) spark plugs have been installed in V-8 and 6- cylinder engines as of the chassis end numbers fisted below. On
engine 102.983, the lower heat range spark plugs will be phased into production shortly.

Spark Plug Installation Data
In case of cold starting difficulties or poor engine performance, especially in colder climates, check the spark plugs' condition and heat range. Install the
approved heat range spark plugs, as listed above, in the event another type is installed.

Submit a warranty claim in the usual manner.
