Cause:
Airflow sensor plate is binding or rest position is not correct.
Remedy:
Center air flow sensor plate and/or check rest position and adjust if necessary.
When checking or adjusting the rest position of the airflow sensor plate, the following should be observed:
The top edge of the airflow sensor plate must be flush to 0.2 mm (0.01") above the top edge of the cylindrical portion of the venturi in the airflow sensor
housing. The measuring point is directly below the stop bumper bracket (arrow).
In this position, the airflow sensor plate should deflect downwards with a freeplay of 1-2 mm (0.04-0.08") before contacting the control piston.
