Disassembling, Assembling and Measuring Clutch K2

Preceding work:

Removing, installing transmission with torque Converter.  See: Service and Repair/Remove and Installing Transmission With Torque Converter

Disassembling transmission.  See: Service and Repair/Disassembling Transmission

Snap ring (11)

Remove and install with a screwdriver.

Disc sets (6, 9, 10)

Remove completely from externally-toothed disc carrier (1), install. Following installation, measure play of 0.7-1.2 mm and adjust (number 5).

Snap ring (5)

Remove and install by tensioning spring plate (4) with assembly device 201 589 12 43 00, until snap ring is exposed (number 2).

Spring plate (4) and pressure springs (3)

Take off, pay attention to the number of springs (number 3).

Piston (2)

Pull out. when installing, insert piston using insertion sleeve 201 589 01 14 00. Check lip seals (12, 13) and replace if necessary. Install sealing
lips pointing downwards (number 4).

O-ring in externally-toothed disc carrier (1)

Check for leaks with kerosene or benzine; if there is a leak, replace the externally4oothed disc carrier (number 4).
