Air Door Vacuum Solenoid Valve: Description and Operation
Vacuum Switchover Valves
Switchover Valve Unit
PURPOSE
The switchover valves, which are located behind the glove box, connect the vacuum elements which operate the various distribution flaps and the heater
valve with the vacuum source.
CONSTRUCTION
The switchover valves consist of a plastic vacuum manifold fitted with electrically operated solenoid valves. There are two manifolds, one with four
electric solenoids and the other with five electric solenoids.
OPERATION
While the engine is running, vacuum is supplied to the switchover valve manifolds. A vacuum reservoir supplements the system during periods of low
