Coolant Temperature Sensor / Switch HVAC: Description and Operation
ACC Coolant Temperature Switch
PURPOSE
The coolant temperature switch (cold engine lock) (2) prevents the automatic climate control (ACC) system from operating at coolant temperature
below 33°C (91°F).
OPERATION
The coolant temperature switch is an open ground for funtions "c" and "d" at coolant temperatures below 33°C (91°F) to prevent cold air
discharge in passenger compartment. Upon activation of switch, the blower motor circuit ground is provided.
