Switchover Valve
6. Connect vacuum tester to connection A of switchover valve and evacuate to approx. 300 mbar (9 in. Hg) vacuum and watch tester gauge. If tester
gauge changes, the switchover valve is defective.
7. Test electric function of valve by applying power and ground to plug connections. Valve will open. Readout on tester drops to zero.
8. Connect vacuum tester to connection B. Cap connection A with a blind plug. Reapply power and ground and evacuate to approx. 300 mbar (9 in.
Hg) vacuum and watch tester gauge. If tester gauge changes, the switchover valve is defective.
9. Disconnect power on valve. Readout on tester should drop to zero.
