Replacing Fuel Filter

Replacing Fuel Filter

-

Loosen mounting screw (74) and remove housing with filter element (42) in downward direction.

-

Install new filter element with housing (42) and seals (76 & 77).

-

Bleed fuel system.

Bleeding Fuel Filter:

-

Loosen hollow bolt (3).

-

Using hand pump (1), pump manually until fuel flows out free of bubbles. 

-

Retighten hollow bolt.

Bleeding Injection Pump:
-

Using hand pump (1), pump manually until overflow valve on injection pump opens with an audible buzzing sound.

-

Run engine and check for leaks.
