INSTALLATION

1.

Using new locking plate and attaching bolts, install caliper onto steering knuckle, Figs. 1 through 3.

2.

Torque caliper to steering knuckle to specifications.

3.

Insert brake hose through bracket. Ensure bracket guide bracket is not damaged.

4.

Connect brake hose onto caliper.

5.

On vehicles with brake lining wear indicator, connect plug connector onto caliper assembly. Insert clip sensor cable into plug connector.

6.

On all models, connect brake line onto brake hose. Ensure brake hose is not twisted.

7.

Bleed brake system, and check brake system for leaks.

300CE, E & TE

REMOVAL

1.

Open caliper bleeder screw and pump fluid from front brake circuit.

2.

Disconnect and cap brake hose from brake line. Cap both the hose and line.

3.

Using suitable screwdrivers, lift the two holding lugs located laterally.

4.

Disconnect clip sensor cable from plug connection on caliper assembly. Do not pull on the cable.

5.

Disconnect brake lining wear indicator and brake hose plug connector from wheel cylinder housing. Cap wheel cylinder housing brake line.

6.

Loosen brake carrier attaching bolts, then remove floating caliper from steering knuckle.
