6. Fit timing chain onto both camshaft sprockets, pay attention to markings.
7. Engine 104.98: Insert guide sprocket together with bearing journal and bolt, screw on. Tighten to 35 Nm. Left Hand Thread! The timing chain

must be fittrd on centrally on the tensioning rail.

7. Tighten nut (6) on camshaft adjuster.

Tightening torque 65 Nm.

8. Fit armature (4) onto control plunger (18) and tighten bolt (3).

Tightening torque (see table below).

The roll pin (arrow) in the armature (4) must be aligned with the flat face on the control plunger (18).

9. Install front cover at top. See Timing Cover, Service and Repair.
