Removal and inatallation of wheel carrier

Note:

The wheel carrier can be removed or installed when the rear axle is installed.

Removal, installation

1. Apply parking brake. Loosen twelve-point collar nut for attaching rear axle shaft using socket wrench 30 mm 126 589 02 09 00 and remove

Installation note

Replace twelve-point collar nut. Lubricate thread and contact surface at twelve-point collar nut. Secure twelve-point collar nut after tightening (arrow).
Tightening torque 200-240 Nm. Socket wrench insert 30 mm 126 589 02 09 00. Torque wrench 001 589 74 21 00.
