Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair
Replacing front crankshaft radial seal
Preceding work:
-
Belt pulley, vibration damper and hub removed.
-
Check contact surface of hub (294) (step 1).
-
Remove radial seal (295) (step 2).
-
Clean mounting hole, deburr.
-
Oil sealing lip of radial seal (295) (step 4).
-
Install radial seal (295) with insertion sleeve 601 58903 14 00 (steps 5 to 7).
-
Run engine, check for leaks.
