Hall Sensor Location

Remove the Hall sensor (B6).

Reinstall in reverse order.

AIR BAG INSTALLATION:

With the tires pointed straight ahead and the steering shaft locked, carefully install the steering wheel on the steering shaft.

NOTE: When placing the steering wheel on the serrations of the steering shaft, pay close attention to the horizontal position of the spokes on the

steering wheel, the slightly curved spoke should be on the bottom.

Use a new countersunk self-locking screw and torque to 59 ft.lbs (80 Nm).

CAUTION:Make sure your hands are clean and free from grease, oil, cleaning solutions and other contaminants before handling the airbag unit.

Make sure that the airbag unit is not exposed to temperatures exceeding 212° F (100° C) even for a short period of time. If the airbag
unit is dropped from a distance of more than 20 inches (50 cm) onto a hard surface DO NOT install the unit. It must be replaced.

Disconnecting The Plug To The Gas Generator

14.

Connect the plug connector (55) to the gas generator, there should be an audible "click" when the connector is positively engaged.

15.

Place the airbag unit onto the steering wheel.
