Modified Drag Link, Pitman Arm and and Intermediate Steering Arm Model 124 (except 4-Matic)

As of June 1989 production, a 10 mm shorter drag link is installed in production (Figure 1). The tightening torque for the nuts M12 x 1.5 is increased to
50 N-m.  At the same time the location of the steering damper mounting on the body was moved to the left side of the vehicle.
