Front

Removing and installing control arm

Preceding work

Removing and installing front wheels.
Removing and installing lower engine compartment panel.

REMOVAL

1. Remove Front spring (12). See: Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf )/Service and Repair

2. Unscrew nuts (22f), remove bracket (22b)

Replace nuts (22f), torque to 20 Nm

3. Unscrew self-locking hexagon nuts (19b and 20b) for eccentric bolts.

Replace self-locking nuts.
Press out eccentric bolts and lower control arm (4). When installing, isert eccentric bolts (19) from rear to front and eccentric bolts (20) from front
to rear.
Only tighten the eccentric bolts of the control arm mounting when the vehicle is standing on its wheels ready to drive and the front axle is correctly
aligned.

4. Unscrew nut (5e)

Press out bolt (5d).
Torque to 125 Nm

5. Detach control arm (4) at supporting joint.

When assembling, thoroughly pack slot (arrow) of clamped joint with preservation wax.
