9. Draw angular contact ball bearing (8) out of steering knuckle with removal tool (08a - 08c) 201 589 0443 00 and remove.

Note:

The angular contact ball bearing is bonded on vehicles produced up to 06/88, therefore before removing the angular contact ball bearing,
the steering knuckle has to be heated up in the area of the angular contact ball bearing with a suitable hot air gun.

10. Clamp front axle shaft flange (9) and protective jaws in a vise. Put on thrust piece (010b) 000 589 03 34 00.

11. Pull off bearing inner ring from front axle shaft flange with extractor 001 589 36 33 00 and collet 201 589 00 34 00. Place collet in the groove.

Note:

If bearing inner ring cannot be completely withdrawn, remove extractor again and place thrust piece underneath.

12. Check if parts can be used again. Check for height and lateral out of true condition at front axle shaft flange (9).

Fitting for brake disc 67.00-66.97 mm
Angular contact ball bearing 45.020-45.011 mm
