Arrangement Without Lateral Bearing Cap
1. Press radial shaft seal (32) out of housing with suitable screwdriver.
2. Vehicles with ASD, remove ring cylinder (60) on rear axle housing, install, for this purpose screw out bolts (60a), screw in.
Installation note: Renew 0-ring on ring cylinder. Coat 0-ring with oil and assure that it is not damaged when inserting into housing. Tightening torque
for Allen bolts (60a) 25 Nm.
3. Clamp ring cylinder in vise on connection fitting for hydraulic line and press radial shaft seal out of ring piston toward rear with punch (arrows).
