Fuel Shut-off Solenoid: Description and Operation

N17/3  Key shut-off relay (fuel cut-off)

The key shut-off relay (N17/3) is activated for approx 3 seconds after shutting off the engine and, in turn, actuates the key shut-off switchover valve
(Y9/1).

Approximately 500 mbar of vacuum is present at the key shut-off switchover valve (Y9/1). After actuation, vacuum at the key shut-off switchover
valve pneumatically operates the vacuum unit diaphragm on the injection pump and moves the control rod to the stop position.
