Level Controller Leak Check

Level Controller Leak Check

126 Series

    This check should be performed when a pressure oil loss between the valve unit adjusting switch and level controller exists, resulting in illumination
of the warning lamp with vehicle stopped, but not affecting vehicle height. If the vehicle is out of service for an extended period of time, particularly in
cold climates, it is normal for the vehicle level to drop.

1.

Inspect entire suspension system for external leaks and correct as necessary.

2.

With vehicle resting on a level surface and the suspension system or central reservoir pressurized to cut-out pressure, move adjusting switch to
``N'' position.

3.

Remove attaching screws and the center bulkhead from top of engine compartment.

4.

On all models, disconnect level controller connecting rod.

5.

Disconnect return line (``R'' port) from level controller.

6.

Connect a length of plastic hose for oil return flow to pressure connection and place opposite end of hose into a suitable measuring glass. 

Do not

move level controller lever toward ``L'' (emptying) position with the return line closed.

7.

Ensure accumulated quantity of oil in glass does not exceed 8 cc after a stationary period of 4 hours or 24 cc after a stationary period of 12 hours.
