Rear Door Latch: Service and Repair

Preliminary work:

Door liner removed.
Exterior door handle on rear door removed.

Vapor seal on interior door panel 

detach and remove.

Crank window 

close.

Screw (2 pieces) for lock cover (1) 

screw out (WAF8).

Lock cover (1) 

remove.

Linkage for interior door actuation (2) and central locking linkage (3) on door lock (4) 

remove or unhook.

Screws (arrows) on door lock (4) 

screw out. Nm: 8. When installing first tighten the front screw.

Door lock (4) 

remove through installation opening in door inner panel.

Reinstall 

in opposite order.

Removal, Installation

Pull off vapor seal on interior door panel and close crank window.
