Exterior Trim - Front License Plate Bracket Installation
REF. NO. MBNA 88/10a
TO: OUR MERCEDES-BENZ PASSENGER CAR DEALERS
DATE: March 1992
SUBJECT:
MODELS 129 AND 140 FRONT LICENSE PLATE BRACKET
Similar to model 129, since January 1992, the front license plate bracket for model 140 is supplied as a separate part and is located in the trunk. This has
been done for styling reasons since many states do not require a front license plate.
If a front license plate bracket is required by law in your state, or if the customer wants to install a front plate, the bracket is to be installed according to
the Work Instructions No. 248a Group 88.
Mercedes-Benz of North America does not cover the expense of installation.
