Seat Cover: Service and Repair
Remove/Install Cover on Rear Seat Cushion

Preliminary work:

Rear seat cushion removed. Refer to "Replacement of Rear Seat and Rear Backrest". See: Seat Back/Service and Repair 

Rear seat cushion (1)

lay down with the upper side on a suitable surface.

Plastic needle (2) for material tensioning strips on the underside of the cushion frame

detach, when installing, also use clips (9) (16 pieces).

Cover (3) with support (5)

remove from cushion frame (4).

Fleece insert between support (5) and cushion frame (4)

remove.

Climbing nettles

detach from the support (5). When installing, align cover and fix.

Transverse loosening devices on cover

release, by unhooking plastic hooks (8) on wire bracket (6) on support (5). Follow installation note!

Longitudinal loosening devices on cover (3)

slacken, by unhooking plastic hooks (8) on wire bracket (7) in support (5). Follow installation note!

Cover (3)

remove from support (5). When installing, pull material tightening strips through opening in the support (arrows).

Install

in opposite order.

Installation note

In order to avoid pressure points due to the longitudinal and transverse loosening wires, the wires must be aligned when hooked in so that they lie in the
loosening channels of the support (5).
