Install block heater (1, Figure 2) using rubber O-ring from the installation kit and not the alloy washer supplied. Tighten block heater with a 46
mm socket.

Tightening torque: 70 Nm

Attach electrical cable to block heater.

Install heat shield (2, Figure 2) over block heater (1). To do so, remove hex. socket screw used to attach cable clamp (3) below block heater (1).
Attach heat shield (2) using new hex. socket screw and spring washer above block heater (1) and old hex. socket screw (4), new spring washer and
cable clamp (3) below block heater (1). Insert the lower screw (4) with spring washer through the cable clamp (3) first, the heat shield (2) second
and then into the engine block.

Route cable away from exhaust manifold along transmission oil cooler line using cable ties (arrows, Figure 2).

Route cable plug to a convenient location as per customer preference. Secure cable and plug with cable ties.

Note:

Ensure that cable is routed away from moving engine parts and sources of high heat.

Close coolant drain plug.

Tightening torque: 30 Nm

11.

Reinstall encapsulation panels.

12.

Test coolant for sufficient antifreeze protection, refill and bleed cooling system. Pressure test system for leaks (Figure 3).

13.

Run engine. Check for proper coolant level.
