Valve Springs - Tool Kit for Removing/Installing

UNIVERSAL TOOL FOR REMOVING/INSTALLING VALVE SPRINGS

There is a new, comprehensive tool kit available for removing/installing valve springs. with this new tool kit, the anchoring of the lever arm is achieved
using existing threaded holes in the cylinder head. On engines with hydraulic lifters, the valve keepers can be removed/installed by pressing down on the
valve spring with the mounting element. Proper function of the mounting element is assured, even with angled valves, as in the V8 and V12 engines, and
in the confined space of the engine compartment. Therefore, the valve springs can easily be removed/installed, to change valve stem seals, with the
engine installed. The tool kit comes with a German instruction sheet. There is an English version attached to this S.I., a copy of which is to be placed
inside the tool kit upon purchase.

Special Tools

Engines without hydraulic lifters, or engines where the camshaft must be removed to mount the tool (604-806).

The valve keepers are removed/installed with a magnetic pen (part no. 210 589 00 40 00) or a magnetic finger (part no. 116 589 06 63 00), after pressing
down on the valve spring with the spring compressor (7, Figure 1).
