The adjustable anchor (18, Figure 1) is attached to the appropriate footing (12-15, Figure 1) which is screwed into existing threaded holes in the cylinder
head (Figure 2). A selection of footings and anchors are available for various engines (12-18, Figure 1).

Engines with hydraulic lifters 111, 119, 601, 602 (except diesel engines 604-806)

The valve keepers are removed/installed using a mounting element (8, Figure 3) which is guided into the hydraulic lifter bore through a guide sleeve (10,
Figure 1). Use the same anchors and footings previously mentioned (12-18, Figure 1) to anchor the lever arm in the existing threaded holes in the
cylinder head (Figure 4).

Valve keeper removal

Insert guide sleeve (10, Figure 3) into the hydraulic lifter bore. Insert mounting element. Mount lever arm and turn adjustment screw (8a, Figure 3) until
the inner alignment shaft noticeably engages between the valve keepers. Press down lever arm (valve keepers are released). Release tension and remove
valve keepers from mounting element.
