Expansion Block/Orifice Tube: Service and Repair
Up to 01/93 (VIN 128373)

Air conditioner

Empty (recycling).

Control unit for rear air conditioner

Remove. See: Control Assembly/Service and Repair

Center console

Remove. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair

Floor covering front left floor carpeting

Remove. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Carpet/Service and Repair

Suction and pressure line

Remove from expansion valve (screw 5), seal opening (parts set 150 830 01 27).

Injection nozzle (107)

Remove.

NOTE:  The injection nozzle (107) should always be renewed after removal.

Install

In reverse sequence, renew O-rings at the same time and lubricate with compressor oil.

Receiver dehydrator

Renew. See: Receiver Dryer/Service and Repair

Air conditioner

Evacuate, refill, check function and check for leaks; run engine at idle speed only in the first 4 minutes.

NOTE:  Parts which have come into contact with refrigerant oil R12 or R134a may only be installed in systems operating with the same 
refrigerant.
After completing the work erase fault memory in the control unit.
