On the new transmission wiring harness (2), cut away branch (a) approximately 200 mm (8 inches) from its entry point into the harness and
discard. Solder connector sockets (part number 003 545 06 26) to wire ends of the transmission wiring harness (2). (Figure 3)
9.
Install female connector housing (3, Figure 4) to cut off branch (a, Figure 1) of new transmission wiring harness, and connect wires as shown in
the following table:

Install new transmission wiring harness and make all connections. Secure the additional connectors.
14.
Reinstall driver's footwell carpet.
15.
Test drive vehicle and check all functions of the starter lock-out/backup lamp switch, shift range B or D, as well as kickdown function.
