When the coolant temperature is between 15°C (59°F) and 40°C (104°F), the timing is retarded for approx. 30 seconds. With the engine at idle,
gear selector position in "P" or "N", the idle speed is increased to 1100 - 1200 RPM. The idle speed returns to normal when a gear is selected.

FUEL SHUT-OFF FUNCTION

When the ignition control unit recognizes a specific type of failure, it sends the LH control unit (via CAN) a signal to switch off all affected fuel
injectors.

ENGINE TORQUE REDUCTION FUNCTION (PART OF ASR)

In order to obtain instant engine torque reduction during wheel slip, the ignition timing is retarded during the first part of ASR engagement. This
signal is received via the controller area network (CAN) from the ABS/ASR III and electronic accelerator control unit.
