Seat Belt: Service and Repair
Rear Seat Belts, Remove/Install

A. Sedans

Preliminary work:

Panelling on rear pillar removed.

Screw (1)

screw out.

Screw (2)

loosen.

Bolt (3) on automatic belt retractor (A)

screw out (35 Nm).

Automatic belt retractor (A)

remove from mount while pulling bolt out at bolt guide (B).

Screw (4) on belt end fitting

screw out (35 Nm).

Belt end fitting

remove through opening in rear pillar panelling.

Automatic belt retractor (A)

lay to side.

Screw (6) on automatic retractor for lap belt (C) or screw (5) on belt buckle (D and E)

screw out (35 Nm).

Automatic retractor for lap belt or belt buckle

remove. 

When installing the automatic bolt retractor (A and C) as well as the belt buckles (D and E)

pay attention to correct installation position (catch) (arrows).
