Rear spring clamping plates

Component Identification

Insert clamping plates on the spring at the top and bottom.

Insert the clamping plates so that as many spring coils as possible are pre compressed (front spring 7 to 8 spring coils, rear spring 3 to 5 spring
coils).

Rotate the recess clearances of the clamping plates towards the inside of the vehicle.

Insert tensioning device into the clamping plates and lock on the upper clamping plate.

The retaining lugs (arrow) must latch in the recesses in the upper clamping plate.

Clamp spring.

Do not use any impact wrench/driver in order to not damage the thread.

Mark the position of the clamping plates relative to the spring coil with oil chalk.

Unclamp spring.

Component Identification

Pay attention to correct seat of the rubber mount in the front end and of the spring coil runout in the impression of the transverse control arm
(arrow).
