1.

In the event that there is no audio, check whether the CD changer and radio receiver bus cables are installed correctly at the CD changer.

2.

If the CD changer is not responding, check whether the CD is installed correctly in the CD magazine.

3.

CD CHANGER INSTALLATION

A.

Installation of Mounting Hardware

1.

Remove trunk floor mat, left rear wheel well liner and left side taillamp bulb housing.

2.

Take auxiliary wiring harness (bus and power cables) from installation kit and identify radio connection end (one straight and one angled bus
connector).

3.

Route auxiliary harness under tuner/amplifier toward top of radio.

4.

Unplug bus cable from radio tuner/amplifier unit and connect it to straight connector of auxiliary harness. Connect angled connector to radio (to
socket from which bus connector was removed).

5.

Unplug power supply connector from radio tuner/amplifier and connect it to power extension socket. Connect power extension plug to radio power
socket.

6.

Route the other end of the auxiliary wiring harness toward rear of wheel well and place it on trunk floor. Secure wiring alongside existing wiring
and fasten with cable ties.

7.

Attach angle bracket to CD changer shell using two M6x10 Phillips head screws with spring washer and nut. Ensure that the phillips head screw is
inserted from the bracket through the CD shell and fastened with washer and nut on the inside of the CD shell.

Using the bracket/shell assembly as a template, place it at the edge of the left wheel well. The rear edge of the bracket should be 150 mm (6 in.)
from the rear wall of the trunk (Figure 1).

Mark the outline of the bracket "Footprint". Using a sharp blade, cut along both ends and along edge of side of bracket facing the wheel well
(forming a flap). Peel and fold back the insulation padding.

10.

Reposition the bracket/shell assembly. Mark the location of two top mounting holes, center punch the markings and drill 5 mm holes. Secure
bracket with two 6.3x13 sheet metal screws, and then using shell assembly as template drill two 5 mm side mounting holes. Remove and set aside
bracket.

11.

Clean away debris, paint the holes with zinc paint. Reinstall left rear wheel liner and taillamp bulb housing. Install bracket/shell assembly with four
