Operation: Block heater, subsequent installation

B. Engine 119 (Model 500SL)

1.

Lift vehicle.

2.

Remove lower engine panel.

3.

Drain engine coolant at lower right radiator fitting. Drain coolant into a suitable container for reuse later.

4.

Remove secondary air injection elbow below core plug (5 mm Allen screws) and move aside.

5.

Remove core plug (arrow, Figure 1, [behind A/C compressor]) with a 22 mm 6-point socket insert.

6.

Install block heater (arrow, Figure 2) using the rubber O-ring from the installation kit and not the alloy washer supplied. Tighten block heater
using a 46 mm socket.

Tightening torque: 70 Nm
